In the center of Paris, the voie Georges Pompidou runs the length of the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre. This 860-meter long and 8.5-meter wide tunnel is located right at the heart of the Rives de Seine Park. Located in the middle of the tunnel, a 5,000-m2 surface in the City of Paris’s public domain is proposed as part of the CFP.
First, focus on innovating new functions, by creating plural, changeable, intelligent buildings. The rapidly changing lives of city-dwellers require innovation in the ways in which we occupy urban space, by generating shared spaces of conviviality; the ways in which we work, thanks to coworking spaces, telecommuting and new types of incubators; and lastly, the ways in which we do business, through shared showrooms, fab labs and pop-up stores. Invent new services adapted to Parisians’ health requirements and to an ageing population.
